My reflection...

1. What do you like about blogging?

I like blogging because I can write whatever I want in it. To be short, I can express how I feel about certain things. It is also a way for me to share my knowledge and my feelings with other people around the globe. In addition, I might get positive comments from them and also negative comments which will help me to improve myself later on.

2. What do you dislike about blogging?

I'm not into blogging that much because it requires me to write about what happened in my life like a diary. I never had a diary and I do not see any fun in writing a diary. Plus, I found it quite troublesome to keep updating it every week since I also have other obligations to do.

3. What have they gained from blogging?

Maybe we can exchange our thoughts and also our knowledge. Maybe a bit of organization of thoughts and I also can learn how to share our feelings with others. Basically, it is a way to express our feelings through technology or what we called cyber world.

4. How?

By writing what I really feel about something in an organized manner so that it's readable and understandable.

5. What do you like about the course?

It taught me about technology which is fun. I gained a lot of knowledge and skill through this course. So can say that this course is somehow useful to us with all the technologies that we learnt from A-Z. So, from an IT illiterate, at least I know how to edit a simple video.

6. What do you dislike about the course?

This course has a lot of things and tasks to do. It's kind of a burden but we still need to do it. Even though the tasks are useful but too many of them make us headache since we also have other assignments to do. Plus, it will be troublesome for those who do not have internet connection at home because this course needs us to be online to do the tasks.

7. What do you have learnt from the course?

Lots of things. I was introduced with kinds of softwares which helps me to all the tasks. Now, I know how to edit picture, audio and also video. I also knew how to create an E-book which is I thought a difficult task to do but not difficult at all.

8. What do you not expect but have learnt from the course?

Experimenting with all the software for audio, video and picture editing. Not to forget, I learned how to do tutorials for everything that I have done so later on it'll be helpful if they need to do all the editing process.

9. What do you expect but have not learnt from the course?

I've learnt everything. It is already beyond my expectation.

10. If you could change anything about the course, what is it?

Decreased the amount of tasks to do. Also, the rubric for each tasks should be clear so that we will not get confused in order to finish the task.

Sayonara~

All assignments were submitted and only one portfolio left to be submitted this Friday. Week 14 is around the corner meaning everything is settled including our portfolio. So, it is time for us to focus on our final examination which is coming real soon. Even though I already sat for examination several times, the nervousness is still there. Plus, I do not think I prepare myself for the examination so it is quite scary.
Hoping I will get through all these and pass my examination with flying colours. To Pn.Foziah, thank u very much for all your guidance and knowledge all this while. All the things that you taught is useful and can be used in the future so thank u again. Sorry for if I did something that might hurt your feelings. Sorry and thank you for everything.
To all my friends, good luck for your examination. Stop playing and start studying..Hehehe!
See you all in the examination hall! =)

Portfolio Time!

Right now, we are collecting and gathering all our tasks that we have done in the past to be put in one folder so that we can organize the portfolio in a correct order to avoid confusion. The checklists given by Izyan through email is really helping me in organizing the portfolio. By looking at the checklist, I will not miss out the tasks that should be included in the portfolio.
So to all my friends, good luck organizing your portfolio! =)

Children softwares?

Today Pn.Foziah introduced to us about children's software. They are available in stores. Basically these software is one of the teaching tool that can be used in the classroom. Pn.Foziah asked us to be in group of about 7 people and we needed to explore the software given by her. For me, the software given is fun but quite confusing. Even for me, a 23-years-old adult found it difficult to solve the problem in the game. I really cannot imagine if I ask a 10-years-old child to do it. They might be able to do it, who knows but for me it's quite complicated.
Maybe other games would be fun and easy. These kind of software would help teachers to grab the students' attention since children love games. So, teachers should know how to use the software so that they will be able to help them in the teaching and learning process.

Submission of Assignment 3~

Today we submitted our Assignment 3. Every one of us needed to struggle to finish the assignment. This assignment requires us to design 4 lesson plans for all the 4 skills. It's not an easy task since we need to sit down and think about what we are going to do in the lesson plan. In order to finish the assignment, majority of us had to sacrifice our sleep. The next day we saw each other, everyone like having 'panda eyes' due to the assignment. But it is alright. It is what we called students' life. No pain no gain, right?
I felt relieved after submitting the assignment because I do not have to think about it anymore. As in one of my works already passed and few more to go. Well, no more assignment after this. Wish you all good luck!

Technology vs Non-technology Materials

As a teacher, we need to know how to manipulate technolgy and non-technology materials. Both materials are useful in the classroom. Both materials have their own advantages. Technology materials like OHP, LCD, Smartboard, Powerpointd, softwares etc might attract the students' attention to learn. Children attention spam are very limited so we need to know how to attract their attention during the lesson.
However, we have to keep in mind that not all schools are equipped with all these technologies. So, as future teachers, we also need to know about how to use and manipulate non-technology material such as mahjong paper, flash cards, realia etc so that they can be used in the classroom replacing the technology materials. I'm not saying here that traditional way of teaching should be the last resort in conducting a lesson but we have to widen our mind not to focus only on technology materials because not all schools have those equipments.
Basically, both materials are equally useful and important. Both have strength and their weaknesses. It is all depends on us, future teachers on how to manipulate the materials so that it can be used effectively in a classroom.

My mind is clear now~

Today, Pn. Foziah made a clear explanation about our portfolio and the percentage of all assignments. She also explained about how she decided to set all the marks for our task and assignments. So. now I already got the idea on how the evaluation will work later on.
In addition, she also explained the difference between task and assignments so that we will not get confused again. She also informed us about what to be included in our portfolios to avoid confusion in the future. After listening to her explaination, now I can move on by gathering all the tasks that I have done in the past and put it in one folder in order to let my work runs smoothly and organized.
Well friends, enjoy your time doing the portfolio! =)
